Coat: Primark//Mohair knit jumper: Great Plains*//Jeans: Topshop//Wellington Boots: Blacks*//Bag, Hat: Topshop
Yesterday was ridiculously mild, so what better way to spend a Sunday than stomping over the Heath in my new Hunter boots, courtesy of Blacks. For once I was pretty much looking for puddles and mud to jump in, rather than avoiding walking across fields for fear of ending up quite literally stuck in the mud (this has happened before, and my loafers haven't quite recovered).
I can't believe it's just over two weeks until Christmas and my last day at work is the 23rd at lunch time (happy dance). I'm getting into the spirit here already with this lovely mohair knit from Great Plains. It's ridiculously warm and far more stylish than the jingly Christmas cat (of course) jumper I will be sporting for our work Christmas lunch..

London Retro glasses: MyOptique*
I was recently sent this gorgeous pair of glasses by MyOptique , from the London Retro range. This is a range I'd actually eyed up a while back so I jumped at the chance. The new Metropolitan collection is all about celebrating London, with the styles named after iconic landmarks- mine are called Soho- loving the tortoiseshell. They arrived in no time at all even though my prescription is pretty hardcore, so I was impressed with that. I had the arms slightly re-fitted as I have such a small face, so they fit perfectly. For some reason I can't seem to smile in these glasses- I wasn't really in a bad mood, honest.

Dress, Shoes and Earrings: Asos c/o Voucher Codes
So I think a lot of us have been guilty of buying a new frock for Christmas party season, and then only wearing it once. Off the top of my head I can think of two dresses I own that have been worn once only, on NYE.. A recent study by Voucher Codes revealed that 18-24 year olds (not that I'm part of that category, sob) spend an average of £119 on their Christmas party outfit, and only go to a few parties, so their outfit doesn't get many outings. So I was given a budget of £80 and challenged to come up with three outfits featuring a party dress, styled three ways.
The first look is a walk over Hampstead Heath- with a jumper over the top the dress is more of a skirt, and sure it was a bit snazzier than what most people were wearing, but I think it works. The second outfit is the party look- peep toe heels and earrings to dress it all up a bit- I'll be wearing this for our work do I think. Finally, a more casual daytime office look- flats and a shirt to dress the look down. Simples.

Furry jacket: H&M//Blouse: Asos//Cigarette pants: Topshop//Brogues: vintage//Hat: H&M
I think you can tell from these photos that they weren't taken yesterday. In fact they date back to the heady days of September. Now I love these brogues, I really do. I found them in BS8 in Bristol several years ago and after rubbing slightly for a day or two they fit like the proverbial glove, as if they were made for me. Unfortunately the sole is ridiculously slippery which is why I don't wear them as often as I'd like- and this particular day I ended up slipping down a flight of stairs at a party (luckily only my boyfriend saw this) which produced two almighty bruises. Back into the wardrobe they go..

Coat: Joseph via charity shop//Jumper: Topshop//Skirt: River Island//Shoes: Topshop
Once again River Island came up trumps- this skirt ticks all the boxes: plaid trend, good length, and very strokable material. I may have ordered the pink and blue one too- with a 25% off code from Grazia, it seemed rude not to.
I'm very happy indeed that it's Friday today- yesterday we had our AGM and awards ceremony at the Radisson Blu in Bloomsbury and it was knackering (especially wearing heels when you're not used to it)! HRH Princess Royal (Anne) is our patron so she attended, sadly I didn't get to meet her but she was within a few foot of me.
I also tried black pudding for the first time, as a canapé with scallops- not to my taste sadly, as I munched I couldn't help myself from thinking "mm this is blood. blood. yup, this is blood."
